Paint or be painted...

Clearing out the studio a bit and keep finding these lovely little children's drawings, some sent from little nephews, some drawn on a hill in Hungary and one drawn by my little sister about 15 years ago. Love the unselfconscious colour. Would make wild textiles prints and colour stories for a children's collection, going into the sketchbook for another time.

Spending the day immersed in the joys of British wool! Lovely Jacob and black Welsh yarns from our friendly British sheep, in tones inspired by photography from my British travels from the Highlands to the Shetland Islands.

Upon the weave Tuesday

Treating myself to a bit of studio time: getting stuck into the weave since finishing the student exhibition at Uni yesterday (which is going to be amazing by the way)... today by contrast, I will not speak to another soul and will get down to some serious Morse Coding, warp and wefting, double clothing, Love silent speed weaving Tuesdays!

Colour me pretty

Spotted these blocks within the pavement on Borough Hugh street, some of my favourite shades, rose and slate, and great big chunky blocks. A possible weave idea?
