Here it is!! The five wonderful patchwork blankets by my friend Katherine May for Liberties London! to be exhibited alongside the much anticipated V and A patchwork exhibition that I have mentioned in a previous post.What's great, and close to my heart, is that Katherine has interpreted this traditional and historic craft, in a contemporary and personal way, pushing preconceived boundaries of 'patchwork'. These textiles pieces are an inspiration!
I have planned to finish my own piece of patchwork next month when I visit a secluded cottage in Scotland for a week of rest, I am going to loose myself in a patch-working zone!
